Candy Cookies

I know there are so many recipes and names for this cookie out there. Some call them chocolate drop cookies, candy cookies, peanut-butter-chocolate-oat cookies, etc, etc. All I know is they are my favorite! They are so easy and yummy!

Another recipe from my mom that’s been a staple in our family for years.

You will need (yields about 20-25 small cookies):

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2T cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups oats

Combine butter, sugar,  cocoa, and milk in a saucepan. Stir & bring to a boil for ONE MINUTE. **No less and no more than a minute! If it’s too short they will be runny, and too long they will be dry. Stir the whole time they are boiling.**

Drop cookies onto wax paper and allow them to cool for 10-20 minutes.Good luck trying to wait that long to try one though. We lick the pan clean every time 🙂
